F-Secure Client Security is a complete security package that offers seamless integration of several protection technologies, such as server queries to real-time protection network, advanced heuristics, sandboxing and behavioural blocking. These technologies work tightly together with signature-based virus protection to offer impenetrable protection against all malware. Security problems are handled automatically and the redesigned user interface is easy and pleasant to use.The new browsing protection feature shows which websites are safe to enter and blocks harmful sites.

The software is easy to install and use, which keeps implementation costs low. IT administrators can manage the security of workstations or remote offices using one central console. Central management makes it easy to configure, monitor and report the security status of the network.

F-Secure Client Security provides advanced protection while Anti-Virus for Workstations covers basic needs. In addition to Windows 7 and other Windows platforms, protection is also available for different Linux distributions. They all offer automatic, real-time protection against online threats, such as viruses, spyware used for identity theft; and rootkits, that is adware, backdoors, Trojans and worms, hidden from the user and security software. All the workstation security products can be centrally managed with F-Secure Policy Manager.

F-Secure DeepGuard 2.0
F-Secure DeepGuard™ is a unique Network Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (NHIPS) technology. It combines advanced heuristics, sandboxing and run-time behavioural blocking as well as network queries. It also works seamlessly with conventional definition-based scanning systems. This unique multi-tier approach adds usability by decreasing the amount of false alarms. Network queries increase the speed of response and decrease the user involvement. Tight integration to application control also reduces the amount of pop-ups.

F-Secure BlackLight
Rootkits are often used to hide malicious software like viruses, spyware, adware, backdoors, trojans and worms. The remotely manageable F-Secure BlackLight™ is an on-demand rootkit scanner that examines the system behaviour at a deep level, detecting objects that are hidden from the user and security software.

The version 9 brings significant performance and resource use improvements, making the client lighter and faster than ever. The new intuitive User Interface is easier to use and also reduces the management tasks of the administrator.

New browsing protection
The new Browsing Protection feature shows the end-user in a clear way which websites are safe to enter and which to avoid. It automatically blocks harmful sites designed to spread malware or steal your online identity, ensuring a safe web experience.

Browsing protection stops the threats that typically remain undetected already at the first point of contact. It consists of three layers of protection:

1. Website reputation rating and blocking of malicious sites.
2. The unique Exploit Shield protects against web-based exploits that can utilize, for example, security holes in the browser and plug-ins, which are used in harmful drive-by downloads that infect workstations even without any user intervention.
3. DeepGuard protects against browser hijack attacks, such as malware attempting to e.g. read online banking passwords or man-in-the-browser attacks.

The F-Secure Real-time Protection Network is the in-the-cloud reputation technology utilized by Browsing Protection and DeepGuard features. DeepGuard is a Network Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (NHIPS) technology providing protection against unknown zero-hour threats. The integrated desktop firewall provides robust monitoring and filtering of Internet traffic and traffic inside a local area network.
