How Does F-Secure Spam Control Work?
F-Secure Spam Control classifies messages based on multiple categorization methods, such as the email body and header analysis.
In a message body, F-Secure Spam Control checks items that have a high likelihood of being spam messages. Spam indicators can be, for example, regular phases such as "As seen on TV!" or "Buy Online!", or other content items like words in which some letters have been replaces by special characters but that are sill clearly legible ("Office X,P PrOfess!onal"). F-Secure Spam Control also analyzes the structure of the message body to find strange or irregular items or types of text, such as very small or large text.
In a message header, F-Secure Spam Control analyzes different issues. It check if the message header items are in the standard order or if the date or time is incorrect to attract attention.
The main idea is that if a rule matches something in a message, certain points are given. The points are then summarized and a score is given to the message. Based on the configuration, the message is tagged as spam and action is taken.
Most Efficient Solution
F-Secure Spam Control filters spam at the gateway level
before it reaches end-user mailboxes, which allows end-users
to concentrate on their business-related tasks.
F-Secure Spam Control enables high spam detection rates with easy administration. With F-Secure Spam Control, companies can significantly improve the employee productivity, save IT resources, and improve security.
